Student Houses and Canteens of the STU

Student Houses and Canteens of the STU (hereinafter referred to as the “ÚZ ŠDaJ”) )provides accommodation and eating to students of the STU, but also to employees and to guests of the university and in case of free capacity also to other persons. It co-creates the conditions for separate study, hobbies and a rest of students.

It provides accommodation in six student dormitories – SD Mladá garda, SD Jura Hronca, SD Nikosa Belojanisa, SD Akademik, SD Dobrovičova a SD Mladosť.

It provides eating through Catering Center of the STU, which consists of seven student canteens (SC). Eating is provided in SC Mladá garda, SC Jura Hronca, SC Vazovova, SC of the Faculty of Civil Engineering and SC of the Faculty of Mechanical Enfineering.

ÚZ ŠDaJ STU is managed by the director.

Student accommodation

ÚZ ŠDaJ STU provides accommodation for students in the meaning of valid directives of the rector of the STU. Allocation of accommodation capacity within faculties and instituts is governed by accepted methodology and criteria, issued by the rector of the STU. Students submit application for accommodation in the electronic Reservation system https://ubytovanie.stuba.sk.

Employee accommodation

Accommodation for employees of the STU is provided in SD Mladá garda, SD Jura Hronca, SD Akademik and SD Mladosť, and that in the meaning of valid directive of the rector of the STU. Accommodation capacity is determided by the rector. Application form is published on web site of the STU. The employee is obligated to attach affidavit, to the application.

Hotel accommodation

ÚZ ŠDaJ STU provides accommodation to the guests of the university, whose stay if related to fulfillment of tasks and activities within main mission of the STU in the meaning of the law No. . 131/2002 of the Codex About universsities and about change and addition of some laws as amended.

Accommodation of the guests of the STU is provided based on written order, which is published on website of the STU .

Touristic accommodation

In case of temporarily free accommodation capacity, set aside for accommodation of employees and guests of the university, ÚZ ŠDaJ STU can provide accommodation yearly also for strangers, for the most for period of one month and if it is possible repeatedly too. The director of ÚZŠDaJ decides on allocation of the accommodation.

ÚZŠDaJ ptovides accommodation for strangers in student rooms during summer holidays. The director of competent student dormitory decides on this accommodation.

Eating

Eating is provided by the Eating Centre of the ÚZ ŠDaJ STU to students, employees and public in spaces of student canteens. Further it provides services of the caterning character.

Other services

ÚZ ŠDaJ STU provides rental of dayrooms in SD Mladá garda and SD Jura Hronca and of the gyms in SD Jura Hronca and in SD Nikosa Belojanisa.
